France not Afraid to use it's Nukes

via. Clayton Cramer

"The leaders of states who would use terrorist means against us, as well as those who would consider using in one way or another weapons of mass destruction, must understand that they would lay themselves open to a firm and adapted response on our part," Chirac said during a visit to a nuclear submarine base in northwestern France.

I think that Chirac, always the politician, needed to say what he said to appease the growing perception in the french populace that France is weak when it comes to terrorism. France has a terrible problem with Islamic violence and the citizens are tired of it. I think that Chiracs head is on the block and he knows it especially if he is perceived as soft. Also, the corruption in the UN food for oil goes high up in the France, Germany, Russia block. That is why they were dragging thier feet and downright hostile to the US forming a coalition to topple Hussein in Iraq. Chirac using nukes? I don't think so..........he's full of horsepucky.
